I created an informative illustration showcasing a healthy fetus in the uterus, emphasizing its connection to the placenta through the umbilical cord. The illustration depicts a cut made perpendicular to the long axis of the placenta, allowing for a clearer understanding of its internal structures and organization of the blood circulation.
The fetal facial features were illustrated with a delicate touch, maintaining both gentleness and recognizability. Creating expressions for the fetus proved to be an intriguing and captivating challenge.
Illustrating the umbilical cord proved fascinating as it intertwines uniquely with transparent tissues. The vibrant colors of the vessels subtly shine through, presenting a delightful yet challenging artistic palette.
To provide a detailed depiction of the placenta, I opted for a cross-section view. This organ facilitates the exchange of nutrients, oxygen, and waste products between the mother and fetus through the network of blood vessels. To enhance the realism, I added a violet texture, resulting in a visually engaging portrayal.
